What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in the user’s browser. They can be classified by purpose (technical, analytics, profiling) and by duration (session or persistent).
Essential technical cookies are indispensable for the provision of the service (e.g. security, abuse prevention, basic functionality) and do not require user consent under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Italian Data Protection Authority Guidelines.
Essential technical cookies
The astrostackerpro.com site is served via the Cloudflare network, which automatically applies a few technical security cookies needed to protect the service from abuse and automated attacks. These cookies are strictly technical and are not used for profiling.
__cf_bm (Cloudflare Bot Management)
Purpose: distinguish human traffic from automated traffic (bots), prevent abuse and DDoS attacks.
Duration: 30 minutes, extended on each request. Type: essential technical, first-party (Cloudflare acts as data processor).
cf_clearance (Cloudflare Anti-bot Challenge)
Purpose: remember that the browser has passed an anti-bot challenge, to avoid prompting it again during the same browsing session.
Duration: up to 1 year. Type: essential technical, first-party.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the security of the service). More information in the Cloudflare cookies documentation.
Technical localStorage
The site uses the browser localStorage (not a cookie) to save a single technical preference:
- asp.lang — stores the language chosen by the user (Italian, English, French or Spanish) so it can be applied on the next visit.
This information stays exclusively in the user’s browser, is not transmitted to the server and does not require consent, as it is strictly technical and necessary for a feature requested by the user themselves.
What we do NOT use
Consistent with the privacy by design principle of the AstroStackerPro app, the site does not use:
- first-party or third-party profiling cookies;
- advertising or retargeting cookies;
- Google Analytics, Plausible, Matomo or other third-party analytics systems;
- Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel or other tracking pixels;
- social network cookies (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.);
- marketing automation tools or behavioral scoring;
- external fonts or scripts for tracking purposes.
The site loads no external resources at all: no fonts from CDNs, no third-party scripts. The typefaces are your device’s system fonts. The only infrastructure involved is the Cloudflare network serving the site, described above.
For the aggregate visit count we use a self-hosted, anonymized statistics system that uses no cookie and no browser identifier: the IP address is immediately turned into an anonymous code via hashing with a daily rotating salt. The details are described in the Privacy Policy. For this reason no analytics cookie is installed on your device.
Consent and preferences management
Since the site uses only essential technical cookies, no prior consent is required from the user, and no consent banner is shown (in line with the Italian Data Protection Authority Guidelines and the EDPB Cookie Pledge).
You can in any case manage cookies directly from your browser settings (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.), blocking them or deleting those already saved. Disabling Cloudflare essential technical cookies may result in the temporary blocking of access to the site by the anti-abuse systems.
