📡 This time the alien isn’t running off: there’s a situation to fix.

Our android set off with its telescope still out of collimation: the AstroStackerPro Android beta has just arrived on Google Play, but right now it’s still far behind the iOS version, which is much further along in development.

And that’s exactly where you come in. 🛸🔭 Send us photos, logs, feedback and anything that seems useful to the development and improvement of AstroStackerPro.

Founding Testers

What you get, what we ask

The first testers shape how the app grows. We don’t ask for reviews or posts: we ask you to try it and tell us where it gets stuck.

What you get

The app free for the whole beta, with updates as they come out. The developer reads every report and replies. If you like, your name in the thanks of the release notes.

What we ask

One session, even a short one, and three lines in reply to the first mission. Everything else is optional: the more you tell us, the better.

What you need

An iPhone with iOS 26 or later, or an Android phone with a Google account. For the night, a tripod or a steady surface and a clear sky. For the first mission, not even that.

The first mission

You can start in daylight

  1. If you already have night-sky shots taken with the phone held still, even with the regular camera: open them in the AstroStackerPro Editor (up to 50 at a time on iPhone) and stack them.
  2. If you don’t, open the planner: it tells you what is worth photographing tonight from where you are, the Moon times and an estimated Bortle class for your sky.
  3. Then send us three lines at [email protected]: did you get a stack? How long did it take? What got in your way?

The night mission: the Moon with the Moon preset, or the Starry sky preset with the phone on a tripod. No need to note the capture data: AstroStackerPro writes it into the file.
