What makes AstroStackerPro different
- Multi-frame stacking entirely on-device with sigma-clip, up to 200 shots per session, building a deep image from many short exposures. Always from photos, never from video.
- Automatic star alignment after capture, matching frame to frame to correct for small shifts — key for untracked phone astrophotography.
- Linear DNG & ProRAW capture where phone and lens allow it (automatic fallback to 10-bit HEVC), an intervalometer, focus peaking, a red night mode for the field, and, on Moon and planets, an automatic split between short and long exposures merged into one file.

AstroStackerPro is developed solo by an independent engineer based in Italy. The project started as a personal frustration with the state of iOS astrophotography — specifically the lack of any real native stacking solution — and grew into a full app over the past year.
